About

A park serving as a disaster-prevention base, spreading across the eastern edge of the Koto Delta on both sides of the Old Nakagawa River. In the large flower bed on the north side of Jiyu no Hiroba (managed by volunteers), visitors can enjoy nemophila in spring, sunflowers in summer, and kochia in autumn. Main plants are Somei-Yoshino cherry, kurogane-mochi (Ilex rotunda), Chinese tallow tree (nankinhaze), silk tree (nemunoki), and yamaboshi (kousa dogwood).
