Japanese name: リシマキア コンゲスティフロラ
Scientific name: Lysimachia congestiflora

Lysimachia congestiflora

[Overview]
A perennial that grows in its native habitat in slightly moist places such as woodland edges.
The stems creep along the ground and spread.
The leaves are simple and opposite, elliptical to ovate, with entire margins.
Spherical inflorescences emerge from the leaf axils at the top of the stem and bear yellow flowers about 1–2 cm across.
The corolla is 5-lobed and cup-shaped.
The fruit is a spherical capsule.

[Cultivation]
Propagate by division or by stem cuttings.
It prefers fertile, well-drained, moisture-retentive soil in sun to partial shade.
Take care that it does not dry out, and water thoroughly when the soil surface dries.
In addition to a base fertilizer, in spring apply slow-release fertilizer placed on the soil or give diluted liquid fertilizer.
There are no particular pests or diseases.
