Sedum subtile ("Himerenge")
Japanese name: ヒメレンゲ (姫蓮華)
Scientific name: Sedum subtile
A perennial growing on moist rocky places along streams.
The leaves are simple, alternate, and fleshy, and are of 2 types: the rosette leaves are spatulate, 4–15 mm long, with a somewhat pointed tip, and the leaves on the stem are linear, 5–20 mm long.
Runners extend from the leaf axils at the base, bear young plants at their tips, and overwinter.
A cymose inflorescence at the top of the stem bears many flowers.
The inflorescence has bracts.
The flowers are yellow, 5-petaled, about 1 cm across, and open in a star shape.
There are 10 stamens, with red anthers.
