About

A power spot where about 40 cliff-carved Buddha figures (magaibutsu), carved since the Kamakura period, are cut into the rock face of Ishiyama, a hill about 160 m above sea level. Somei-yoshino cherry trees bloom in profusion. Following the walking path past the stone Buddhas leads to the summit, where you can also see Ise Bay.
