About

An avenue of about 1,400 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees lines the road for about 3.5 km from National Route 353 to Chuji Onsen. The adjacent Miyagi Senbonzakura no Mori has about 500 cherry trees of 37 varieties, plus moss phlox (shibazakura). It was selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots in 1990.
