About

A park developed on the site of the U.S. military's Johnson Air Base after the land was returned. It is a popular cherry blossom spot with rows of about 300 Somei-Yoshino and double-flowered cherry (Yaezakura) trees, and it has a large lawn plaza and woodland of Japanese red pine (Akamatsu), konara oak and other trees.
