Young leaves have soft white hairs.
The petiole is hairless and 2–4 cm long.
The flowers are white with 5 petals, 2.5 cm across, with 2–3 styles.
The flower stalk is 1.5–3 cm long and has soft white hairs.
The inside of the calyx is densely hairy.
The fruit is almost spherical, 1 cm across, with yellowish-brown skin and many lenticels.
The flesh is juicy but astringent, and contains many stone cells.
