Scientific name: Convolvulus cneorum

Convolvulus cneorum

[Overview]
An evergreen shrub 60–120 cm tall.
The whole plant is covered with white silky hairs and looks silvery green.
It branches well and grows in a mound shape.
The leaves are simple and alternate, oblanceolate to linear, 3–6 cm long.
The flowers are borne in short panicles; the corolla is funnel-shaped, 2.5–4 cm across, white with a yellow center.
The buds are tinged with pink.
The fruit is a capsule.

[Cultivation]
Propagate from seed or by bud cuttings.
It prefers a sunny, well-drained, well-ventilated place.
It has a taproot and dislikes being transplanted.
Provide protection from the cold in cold regions.
It dislikes heat and humidity, so it is better kept on the dry side; for potted plants, water after the soil has dried, and for plants in the ground, rainfall is sufficient.
In spring and autumn, place slow-release fertilizer on the soil, making sure no fertilizer remains in midsummer.
There are no particular pests or diseases.
