[Overview]
A perennial about 30 cm tall, found on rocky ground in the high mountains.

The stem leaves are alternate, and the base often does not clasp the stem.
Flower heads are borne in corymb-like arrangements at the stem tip; the flowers are mostly yellow, but there are also yellowish white to white flowers.
The flower heads consist of 8–12 ray florets, each with fine notches at the tip.
