Grevillea

[Overview]
An evergreen tree.
The leaves are alternate.
It bears racemes or panicles.
The flowers have no petals; the tip of the tubular perianth opens and the style projects far out.
The fruit is a follicle.

[Cultivation]
Propagate by cuttings.
Some kinds can overwinter outdoors in regions without frost, but keeping the temperature at 10°C or above is safest for wintering, so bring potted plants indoors to a sunny place in winter.
It prefers sunny, well-drained soil.
Avoid places exposed to cold winter winds.
For potted plants, and for plants in the ground less than 2 years after planting, water thoroughly when the soil surface dries from spring to autumn, and water sparingly in winter.
For plants in the ground that have taken root, rainfall is sufficient.
Apply organic fertilizer around the plant as fertilizer in winter.
There are no particular pests or diseases.
