Ostericum sieboldii

[Overview]
A perennial 50–100 cm tall, found in slightly moist places such as forest edges and dark woodland in the mountains.

The leaves are alternate, 2- to 3-times ternately pinnately compound, with ovate leaflets that have coarse teeth along the margins.
Compound umbels at the stem tips bear many small white 5-petaled flowers.
The calyx lobes are lanceolate.
The inflorescence has linear bracts and bractlets.
The fruit is an elliptical mericarp.
