Thymophylla tenuiloba (Dahlberg daisy)

Japanese name: ダールベルグデージー
Scientific name: Thymophylla tenuiloba

Thymophylla tenuiloba

[Overview]
A short-lived perennial 10–30 cm tall, but in Japan it is mainly treated as an annual.
The whole plant is fragrant.
The stem branches well and spreads.
The leaves are alternate, 0.8–2.5 cm long, finely and pinnately divided to the base, with linear lobes.
It bears yellow flower heads about 1.5 cm across, and has a long flowering period.
The fruit is an achene.

[Cultivation]
Propagate from seed.
It tolerates light frost.
It prefers a sunny, well-drained, somewhat dry place.
It dislikes places with poor sunlight or moisture.
Take care not to overwater; for potted plants, water thoroughly after the soil has dried, and for plants in the ground, rainfall is sufficient.
If a basal fertilizer is applied, no further fertilizing is particularly necessary, but for potted plants liquid fertilizer may be given during the flowering period.
There are no particular pests or diseases.
