[Overview]
A perennial 5–40 cm tall, found on sunny rocky, gravelly ground in the mountains.
The stems branch and have a mixture of forked and simple hairs, though the amount of hair varies.
There are two kinds of leaves, basal leaves and stem leaves.
The basal leaves form a rosette; they are oblanceolate, 2–10 cm long, deeply pinnately lobed with a large terminal lobe, and hairy on both sides.
The stem leaves are alternate; those on the upper part of the stem are linear-lanceolate, 1–5 cm long, and entire.
A raceme at the stem tip bears white or pale red flowers with 4 petals.
The fruit is a linear silique.
