About

Opened in 1903 (Meiji 36) as the first park in Hiroshima City, it has long been loved as a famous cherry blossom spot. Located in the city center about 2 km from Peace Memorial Park, it takes advantage of its elevation to offer a panoramic view of the urban area, and it is currently being redeveloped as "Heiwa no Oka" (Hill of Peace).
