About
A castle ruins park developed in Meiji 34 (1901) when about 1,000 cherry trees were planted. From the Taisho era to the early Showa era, about 2,000 cherry trees bloomed here, and the park was called the "Yoshinoyama of Tohoku." The view from the site of the main enclosure (honmaru) is counted among the New Akita 30 Views (Shin-Akita Sanjukkei).
