- From Izumi-Chuo Station on the Subway Namboku Line, take a Miyagi Kotsu bus from Stop No. 6 bound for "Shogen Danchi" and get off at "Shogen 8-chome". The park is right there.
About
This park was created when the Shogen housing complex was developed, incorporating Shogen-numa Pond and the surrounding woods. It has a mixed woodland that retains the look of a satoyama (rural woodland) and walking paths around the pond. It is a well-known cherry blossom spot, and the row of cherry trees along the walkway on the north side of the park is also considered magnificent.
