About

The area around the fir tree (Momi no Ki), also famous from Shugoro Yamamoto's novel "Momi no Ki wa Nokotta", is a scenic spot with views of Hitome Senbonzakura (the row of a thousand cherry trees), the flow of the Shiroishi River, and Mt. Zao with lingering snow. It is lively with the Cherry Blossom Festival in spring.
