About

A Muromachi-period castle ruin on a hill in Nenoshiroishi. It has the grave of Saishoin, grandmother of Date Masamune, the Thirty-three Kannon sites, and Usa Hachiman Shrine. Magnificent weeping cherry trees bloom in the grounds every year, making it a local cherry-blossom viewing spot.
